Hailey Whitley, MA, AMFT, APC
MA – MFT – Richmont Graduate University
Associate Professional Counselor #APC005585
Hailey has earned a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors in Psychology, after switching her major from accounting. Although balance sheets and P&L statements were appealing, Hailey experienced the inevitable trials of life, which cultivated a passion in her to offer others what she received through counseling during that time.
“I feel privileged to walk along side individuals navigating the inevitable difficulties of life. My hope is to create a safe space in which to sort through these difficulties, while working toward mutually agreed upon goals.”
Hailey’s areas of specialty include working with adolescents and adults struggling to navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, OCD, body image, disordered eating, addiction, sexual and gender identity issues, and relational struggles.
Hailey utilizes whichever mode of therapy is most effective for each individual client. She specifically enjoys the use of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to assist with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness using an Internal Family Systems framework.
“Regardless of what a client brings to the room, my role remains the same. I serve as a guide to help lead you toward healing using methods most suited to your needs. I am your advocate who at times will affirm you and other times provide some tough love, but with an unconditionally accepting stance, I believe we can accomplish a lot together.”
Hailey is married with three young children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and cycling.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to her personally with your scheduling needs.
