Martha is passionate about helping individuals and couples who feel stuck experience freedom. Martha has a fierce passion for freedom. She loves helping people’s chains fall off, whatever those chains may be. Can you imagine being free to be completely who God made you to be?
With couples, Martha works to establish new patterns where both people feel safe, heard, and drawn toward one another. Marriage can be the greatest blessing, and it can be the hardest thing you have ever done. Either way, she would love to help you get to a place where your needs are met, and your marriage is enriching. Martha is known for her warm, disarming, inviting style which fosters personal growth and connection. Her goal is to empower couples to build lasting healthy relationships by developing essential skills as well as a deeper understanding of each other’s needs and perspectives.
Martha is a compassionate and dedicated counselor with a wealth of experience. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Washington and Lee University, she went on to get her Master’s in Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Martha has experience with issues of anger, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, addictions, parenting, marital concerns, eating disorders, attachment, and sexual intimacy.
Martha has been married for 23 years and has 10 children, 7 of whom are adopted. In her spare time, she loves to laugh, exercise, do puzzles, play pickleball, and enjoy fellowship with friends and family.
