A failure is not a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying. – B.F. Skinner

Being vulnerable and opening up in front of someone new can be scary, but my personal experience in therapy was extremely positive and helpful in my own life, and I believe I can provide a warm and safe place for you to advance your own life too.
The therapeutic relationship is extremely important, and I would like to get to know you, without judgment. I am an excellent encourager and love inspiring and building up women, helping them to see their value and God’s unconditional love for them. I am also passionate about working with couples. I especially enjoy helping married couples feel comfortable talking about complications in the bedroom. I work with individuals and couples dealing with a variety of issues such as abuse, addictions, anger, anxiety, depression, marital issues, self-esteem, and sexual concerns.
I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia College & State University, followed by my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Christian Sex Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. Shortly after, my husband and I moved to California for him to attend seminary. While there, I was fortunate enough to counsel under Dr. Clifford and Joyce Penner, pioneers in the field of Christian Sex Therapy. I also had the opportunity to work at the Los Angeles Dream Center with sex trafficking victims as well as those in the drug, alcohol, and life recovery program. These unique opportunities only allow me to better serve you more skillfully and with a bigger heart.
I am blessed to be married to an amazing partner in life since 2005. The Lord has blessed us with 2 precious, energetic little redheaded girls (Ariella & Adalee) and a red mini dachshund (as our family pet therapist). My husband, Andrew, is a Pastor and we are enjoying the process starting a new ministry online together. You can find most of our content on YouTube @AndrewandAmandaScott.
I love to spend time with my family and friends more than anything. I enjoy shopping, decorating, creating, baking (ok, mostly just eating sweets), learning new things, dancing, and especially traveling. I really enjoy making my dreams and goals a reality, and I am always honored when God allows me to be a part of your journey and dreams, too.
