COVID Safety at Our office

Covid-19 safety information for in-person sessions.

For those of you concerned about COVID (or other communicable diseases), we want to inform you of our current office practice. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out to our Client Care Coordinator or your individual counselor.

We work to keep the office safe

We are counselors because we care. we work hard to keep the office safe, including from infection (even before COVID). Our office is professionally cleaned every week. Every year during flu season we stock up on hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes and use them regularly on commonly touched surfaces.

We have a good supply of hand sanitizer you are welcome to use in addition to the soaps and paper products in our restrooms.
Surfaces that are regularly touched are disinfected at least daily (i.e., door handles, credit card machines).
We have verified that our stock of disinfectants are EPA approved to destroy the COVID-19 virus.

We are vaccinated

Professional Counselors and Therapists were included in the first round of vaccines in the state of Georgia. As such, all our clinical staff in our office are vaccinated.

Consistent with current CDC Guidelines (as updated 10/19/22), masks are totally optional in our office. If you have symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19, the CDC states you should wear a mask.

Masks are optional during sessions. Our therapists currently do not wear a mask during therapy. Please let your counselor know if you prefer a mask during session.

Online sessions are always available if you prefer or are experiencing any symptoms or are in quarantine.

Keeping yourself safe when visiting our office

We believe therapy is typically most effective when we meet with you in person. When visiting our office we encourage you to keep the following in mind.

Do not come to our office if you or someone you have been in contact with is showing the symptoms of COVID-19 or any other communicable illness

This probably goes without saying, but it is critical in keeping others (including your counselor and his/her family) safe. If you are experiencing symptoms, please contact us to cancel your appointment or move it online.

Please wash your hands with soap and water in our restroom.

We have hand sanitizer but your best defense is a thorough hand washing.

Decrease physical touch points.

We provide contactless payment as a way to decrease touch points.
- The credit card on file in our scheduler
- Apple Pay or Samsung Pay
- Touchless credit cards

If you feel uncomfortable in our waiting area, talk with your counselor. If they are aware, you may check in online and wait in your car. They will come wave at you when they are ready for you to come back to the office.

Our illness cancellation policy remains in effect

Cancel or move your session online if you become sick.

We ask that you cancel your appointment if you are ill or believe you might be contagious. Even if it is last minute. Just give us a call and leave a message.
If you feel up to it, you may be able to move your session online. Call our office. With enough advance notice, we may be able to move your session to our Telehealth office.
Late cancellations do not incur a fee when they are due to personal illness or illness of a family member for whom you are the primary caregiver (i.e., your child).
If we believe we are ill or contagious we will cancel the session and notify you as soon as possible.

Bottom line, we exist to serve you. We want to see you succeed in your counseling goals.
